This initiative, in collaboration with the Russian Federation, UNODC, UNICRI, South African law enforcement, and the South African platinum and gold mining industry, targeted the illicit trafficking of precious metals used to finance terrorism and other serious crimes.
Representing the National Prosecuting Authority of South Africa, Peter’s work took him to key international hubs, including Moscow, Vienna, Italy, Switzerland, Belgium, Frankfurt, Colombia, and several African nations.
Peter’s efforts exposed syndicate operations spanning South Africa, the United Kingdom, and Europe. He also provided critical training and briefings to prosecutors and law enforcement officials on trafficking methodologies, further enhancing global efforts to combat organized crime.
From 2018 to 2021, Peter served as a Senior Investigator for South Africa’s State Capture Commission, where he played a key role in uncovering systemic corruption and state-level criminal activities. In matters he was assigned to investigate.
